My first concert shoot was 2013, a small festival in Iowa that I was managing the grounds and operations for, and brought a camera along that year. I was helping with my wife's wedding and portrait photography business, and wanted to test it out with a passion of mine. It didn't take long before live music became my thing.
Music is where I'm happiest — whether that's sitting with a record, fully in the details of how it was made... the artists, instruments, album artwork, liner notes; or standing in a pit trying to capture what a room full of people feels like watching a song build.
Since that little festival experiment, I've shot everything from small club sets to arena shows, a handful of additional festivals, and album artwork and press photos for a few bands along the way. These days I'm looking to take that further — into tour work with artists and labels who need someone who can travel, adapt, and deliver.
I'm passport-ready and set up to travel with both my camera gear and a compact editing rig, so wherever the tour goes, I can go too.
